Kajima Construction Europe (UK) limited is the UK arm of the Kajima Corporation of Japan. Kajima Construction was founded in 1840 and quickly grew to become an industry leader in the field of construction, where it has remained ever since. Headquartered in Tokyo, Kajima construction maintains a workforce of approximately 11,000 employees located at its 11 branches.

Brief
Rapid growth from 70 to 500 users within Kajima led to a sharp increase in the number and complexity of helpdesk calls as well as the level of technical expertise required resolving them effectively. The current outsourcing company were finding it difficult to manage the volume of calls and this lead to Kajima seeking an alternative service partner. The nature of the construction industry meant that users are often mobile with very different software and hardware configurations to match the individual’s specific job requirements.
Solution
Intrasource appointed an Account Manager and provided Kajima with a remote desktop support service centre that would be efficient enough to deal with the large volumes of calls and provide the technical expertise that required them to be resolved effectively with minimum downtime to the users. Intrasource were able to implement this service seamlessly to complement Kajima’s existing IT function.
