JSR Operate across 12 core sites within the UK and multiple international locations with partners.
JSR is also at the forefront of demonstrating sustainable agriculture, particularly the synergy between the arable and livestock sectors. Our farms provide wheat, barley and rye as feed for the pig production business and straw for bedding; whilst the straw based manure and slurries are recycled onto the land as invaluable organic fertilisers. JSR also produces 50% of its own feed which is a vital aspect of its focus on sustainability.
JSR is a big operation, involving different farming disciplines and across many sites covering a large geographical area. As such its IT consumption and requirements are complex and constantly evolving as the business grows and develops.
To manage these needs, it became clear that the most logical and efficient thing to do would be to employ the services of a third-party IT support company, to support and enhance the internal IT team.
The task was to find a provider that had the skillsets and the resources to be able to service our everyday IT needs, but that was also willing to work collaboratively and flexibly to respond to our different and changing requirements. We also needed a provider that could effectively monitor our infrastructure remotely and provide a 24/7 service. Downtime is costly for a business like ours and we needed to put in place all the measures we could to avoid it as much as possible.

Intrasource provides 24/7 remote IT support via the service desk and onsite IT support when required. They provision our Microsoft 365 and look after our infrastructure monitoring. They also maintain our cyber security and provide various telecoms and internet connectivity services.
