Based in the East Riding of Yorkshire, near to Hull, Vivergo Fuels is a £350m plant producing two high value commodities which historically would have been imported into the UK. Vivergo is one of Europe’s biggest bioethanol producers and the UK’s largest single source supplier of Animal Feed.
Vivergo produces up to 420m litres of bioethanol, enough to meet about half of the UK’s current demand, and deliver 500,000 tonnes of high protein feed to over 800 farms across the UK, enough for about 20% of the UK’s dairy herd.

The Solution
As the company grew, the IT services department found itself increasingly bogged down by everyday IT support issues. This had a significant impact on the amount of time the team had for development and project work. The decision was taken to outsource IT support but the challenge was to find a local and responsive provider with the skillsets and the quality of service to support the operation.
