Introduction

Founded in 1996, Selkirk Mechanical Handling Ltd is a leading provider of specialist mechanical handling solutions. Their strong reputation in the industry gave them the opportunity to become the local authorised Toyota dealer for all Mechanical Handling Equipment.

Selkirks serve a diverse range of clients – offering various handling solutions for sale and hire, including high-quality forklift trucks. They are also leading providers for servicing, and repairs.

IT plays a vital role in Selkirk’s day-to-day operations, supporting everything from communications to business-critical applications. However, before partnering with Intrasource, Selkirk faced significant IT challenges, particularly around security.

Why we chose Intrasource

When our previous IT provider was acquired by another Managed Services Provider, the transition caused a number of issues including the cancellation of some security licenses, leaving us feeling exposed to potential cyber threats. We also had a growing suspicion that our IT setup could be improved, prompting us to search for a new provider.
